Another Successful Allocations Season

On April 20th, the United Way of the Columbia Gorge completed its 2012 Allocations Season with Board approval of the Allocations Committee's $135,000 funding recommendation.  The Committee, comprised of nine volunteer members representing Hood River, Wasco, Sherman, Klickitat and Skamania Counties, reached its final funding decision after over four weeks of thorough application and budget review, and assessing live presentations by representatives from the forty program applicants.  United Way staff was also heavily involved in ensuring that each program met stringent standards in governance, budget/financial management, ethics, and program operations.  The thirty Gorge human-service programs to receive 2012 funding (PARTNER AGENCIES) will be honored at an Agency Social in July.
